Zoom Virtual Viewings During Covid19 Lock-down

Whilst we are only allowed to move people into their new home during the COVID19 lockdown if it is an essential move, we are still able to conduct virtual viewings and virtual valuations using digital technology such as the Zoom Platform.  

It is free to sign-up and it allows us to invite the property owner and the viewers to a virtual conference, whereby we can all 'walk' around the property without moving from our sofa or armchair!  Once everyone is signed into the meeting 'room' the property owners will walk around the property in the usual manner, showing everything on their phone or iPad, everyone can talk to each other and ask questions, look inside cupboards, pop back for a second look at a certain room, ask about the neighbourhood and any questions you have about the property.  

Whilst it is not quite the same as seeing the property in person, it does appear to be good enough for many people to make an offer to buy the property, which can then be negotiated in the usual way.  It is not possible to instruct surveys on homes at the moment, but all of the early conveyancing and financial 'offer in principle' paperwork can be worked on during lockdown so that there is much less to sort out once we are free to move around in person again!
